Q. PADS Logic에서 새로운 off-page/power/ground symbol을 생성하는 방법을 알고 싶습니다.

A. 아래의 방법으로 새로운 off-page/power/ground symbol를 추가할 수 있습니다.

1. PADS Logic에서 Tools > Part Editor 메뉴 실행

2. Part Editor에서 File > Open 메뉴 실행

3. Select type of editing… 창에서 off-page/power/ground 선택 후, OK 버튼 클릭

→ 기존에 작성된 off-page/power/ground symbol이 화면에 표시됩니다.

4. Edit > Part Type Editor 실행 후, Assign Alternatives…창에서 Add 버튼을 클릭하여 새로운 special symbol name 및 pin type 설정

5. Edit > CAE Decal Editor 메뉴 실행 후, 생성한 symbol name 선택

6. Off-page/power/ground symbol 작성 후, File > Return to Part 메뉴 실행

7. Special Part 창에서 File > Save 메뉴 실행 후, File > Exit Part Editor 메뉴 실행

8. PADS Logic에서 Tools > Update form Library 메뉴 실행

9. Mode는 “update design from library”를, Items는 "off-page/power/ground symbols"를 선택 후 library 업데이트 진행
